Before Jacob and Belle ever started writing letters, they were two average teenagers who practically grew up together and fell in love. They had their whole future mapped out before them. College, marriage, kids and a house with a white picket fence. But fate had other plans, when Jacob was drafted into the Korean War in 1951. Read some of their private thoughts from their journal and diary entries before their lives would change forever in…

This was only a prequel and as short as was I enjoyed every minute I got spend with Bella and Jacob.

With the unique setting of having the story told in a journal format added a personal touch allowing us at readers to glimpse into their most private thoughts.

I was blown away by how much the authors were able to provide due to the journal format. You don’t get bombarded with little details ( because who really writes like that in their journal) . You get the most important parts from each of our characters.
